CMA CGM upgrades its PEARL (PRX) service

CMA CGM is comprehensively overhauling its PEARL (PRX) service to launch a new direct connection between the western Indian Subcontinent and the U.S. West Coast. This upgrade focuses on improving transit efficiency and service reliability for shippers transporting cargo from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to Los Angeles.


The revised rotation features exclusive direct port calls, eliminating transshipment delays at major South Asian hubs. The carrier will offer weekly fixed-day departures to guarantee consistent scheduling for trans-Pacific trade.

## New Service Rotation

The updated PEARL service operates a comprehensive trade loop connecting South Asia, Southeast Asia and China to California:

● Eastbound (EB): Nhava Sheva  Mundra  Karachi  Colombo  Singapore  Haiphong  Xiamen  Nansha  Yantian  Los Angeles

● Westbound (WB): Los Angeles  Gwangyang  Qingdao  Shanghai  Ningbo  Shekou  Singapore  Nhava Sheva  Mundra  Karachi

## Competitive Transit Times

This direct connection substantially optimizes the transit performance for the western Indian Subcontinent. Shippers can expect the following transit times to Los Angeles:

Nhava Sheva - 47 days ; Nundra - 44 days ; Karachi - 42 days ; Colombo - 37 days

## Implementation Schedule

The new rotation will be officially inaugurated with the voyage of vessel *APL QINGDAO*, which is scheduled to depart from Nhava Sheva on March 30, 2026.

CMA CGM has allocated dedicated booking codes for the updated service: cargo moving from the Indian Subcontinent to the U.S. West Coast shall use code OFFHOE1MA, while shipments originating from Southeast Asia and South China shall use code OP50SE1MA.
