CMA impose PSS for Taiwan, China to Canada
2026-05-15

CMA CGM Group has implemented a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on all containerized cargo originating from or transiting through Taiwan, China to ports on Canada’s East and West Coasts. The PSS takes effect on May 15, 2026, and will remain in force until further notice.

The surcharge applies uniformly to all cargo types and standard container configurations: USD 1,800 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU), USD 2,000 per forty-foot equivalent unit (FEU), and USD 2,530 per forty-five-foot high-cube container.

This measure supports CMA CGM’s operational strategy to ensure service reliability, schedule adherence, and network stability during periods of seasonal demand escalation—particularly across its Asia–North America trade lanes.
