Hapag-Lloyd has announced a general rate increase (GRI) for its Freight All Kinds (FAK) ocean freight tariffs on the Far East–Europe trade lane, effective for shipments loading on or after June 1, 2026.
The revised rates apply to dry and refrigerated (reefer) containers in 20-foot and 40-foot standard and high-cube configurations.
Effective June 1, 2026, the new FAK rates are as follows:
• North Europe: USD 2,800 per 20-foot container; USD 4,300 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container;
• West Mediterranean, Adriatic region, and Türkiye: USD 3,900 per 20-foot container; USD 5,500 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container;
• East Mediterranean, Egypt, and Black Sea destinations (including Bulgaria and Romania): USD 3,950 per 20-foot container; USD 5,600 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container.
Reefer containers are subject to identical FAK rates across all listed destination groups.
All quoted rates incorporate the Marine Fuel Recovery (MFR) surcharge and remain subject to Hapag-Lloyd’s applicable tariff terms, conditions, and additional surcharges (e.g., BAF, CAF, security fees), as published in its official tariff schedules.
