CMA CGM has announced revised Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for multiple key trade lanes, including Asia–Europe, Europe–Indian Subcontinent (India and Pakistan), Asia–Mediterranean & Black Sea, and Asia–North Africa. These adjustments reflect updated commercial terms effective 1 July 2026, with certain rate applicability windows concluding on 15 July 2026.
Asia to North Europe
New FAK rates will apply to all containerized cargo originating from ports across Asia—including Japan, Southeast Asia, and Bangladesh—and destined for North European ports.
• 20-foot equivalent unit (TEU): USD 3,700
• 40-foot equivalent unit (FEU), including 40-foot high-cube and refrigerated (reefer) containers: USD 6,300
These rates cover base ocean freight and bunker-related surcharges. They are applicable to dry cargo, out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments, paying empty containers, and reefer cargo. Terminal handling charges (THCs), emergency terminal surcharges (ETS), and security-related surcharges remain separately applicable.
Europe to India and Pakistan
FAK rates for shipments from North European and Mediterranean ports to India and Pakistan have been increased, effective 1 July 2026:
— From North Europe:
• To India: USD 700 per TEU (up from USD 600); USD 600 per FEU (up from USD 500)
• To Pakistan: USD 800 per TEU (up from USD 700); USD 700 per FEU (up from USD 600)
— From West Mediterranean ports:
• To India: USD 700 per TEU/FEU
• To Pakistan: USD 800 per TEU/FEU
— From East Mediterranean ports:
• To India: USD 900 per TEU / USD 800 per FEU
• To Pakistan: USD 1,000 per TEU / USD 900 per FEU
These revised rates apply to dry cargo and paying empty containers loaded between 1 and 15 July 2026.
Asia to Mediterranean, Black Sea, and North Africa
CMA CGM has introduced new FAK rates for cargo moving from Asian ports to the following destination regions, effective 1 July 2026:
• West Mediterranean: USD 5,700 per TEU / USD 7,700 per FEU
• Adriatic region: USD 5,900 per TEU / USD 7,900 per FEU
• East Mediterranean and Black Sea: USD 6,200 per TEU / USD 8,500 per FEU
• Algeria: USD 7,200 per TEU / USD 10,200 per FEU
These rates apply to dry, refrigerated, out-of-gauge, and paying empty containers loaded between 1 and 15 July 2026.
