MSC adds Itajai call on South America service
2026-05-04

Effective with the MAERSK CHAMBAL voyage 618A/623R, the revised service rotation will position Itajaí between Paranaguá and Santos.

This enhancement expands MSC’s port coverage in southern Brazil and establishes an additional logistics gateway for inbound and outbound cargo flows to and from the region.

According to MSC, the adjustment is designed to strengthen network resilience, improve schedule reliability, and better accommodate rising trade volumes across the Americas.

The updated rotation provides improved connectivity to key industrial and agricultural hubs in southern Brazil, while offering shippers greater flexibility and more direct options for cargo movement between the Gulf region and South America’s East Coast.

MSC continues to refine its global network strategy—balancing port coverage, service frequency, and operational efficiency—to meet evolving customer and market requirements.
