Hapag-Lloyd updates PSS for Africa-bound cargo
2026-06-15
The revised PSS will apply to all cargo loaded on or after 20 June 2026 and will remain in effect until further notice.
For shipments originating in Asia and Oceania and destined for West African ports, the surcharge is set at USD 350 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU), applicable to all container types. For East African destinations, the rate is USD 400 per TEU—likewise applicable across all container categories.
All other components of the published ocean freight tariff—including base freight rates, bunker adjustment factor (BAF), security-related surcharges, and terminal handling charges (THCs)—remain unchanged.
