For cargo transported from Asia to North Europe, CMA CGM will levy a surcharge of US$1,000 per Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEU).

This regulation covers all points of origin in Asia, including Japan, Southeast Asia, and Bangladesh. It is applicable to all destinations in North Europe, encompassing the United Kingdom and ports ranging from Portugal to Finland and Estonia.

The surcharge applies to all cargo categories and contracts with a validity period exceeding 30 days.

For shipments from Asia to the Mediterranean and North Africa, CMA CGM will levy a surcharge of US$1,400 per 20-foot container and US$2,800 per 40-foot container.

This surcharge applies to all cargo shipped from major Asian ports to Mediterranean destinations.

CMA CGM notes that local regulatory filing requirements will be complied with where mandated by applicable law. The carrier further clarifies that for shipments originating from China, the surcharge may either be filed with the Shanghai Shipping Exchange or incorporated into the published ocean freight rate.

The aforementioned PSS is levied in addition to applicable base freight rates, bunker adjustment factors, terminal handling charges, and security-related surcharges.
