The new A3X service expands OOCL's existing A3 service network and is designed to provide customers with greater operational flexibility, additional transit alternatives and enhanced market access between Northeast Asia and the east coast of Australia.
With the introduction of the A3X service, OOCL will operate four weekly sailings across its entire A3 network. This adjustment will boost service frequency and overall shipping capacity for both importers and exporters, while further consolidating OOCL's market presence in the Northeast Asia-East Coast Australia trade lane.
The southbound rotation will call at the ports of Qingdao, Shanghai, Shekou, Melbourne and Sydney, while the northbound rotation will call at Melbourne, Sydney, Qingdao, Shanghai and Shekou in sequence.
OOCL states that the newly launched A3X service will improve connectivity between China and Australia, and provide customers with more reliable shipping solutions along the entire trade lane.
