A Hazardous Cargo Surcharge of USD 500 per TEU will be applied to shipments of hazardous goods originating from the Far East and destined for the Indian Ocean region, South Africa, and East Africa. This surcharge will become effective on 1 July 2026, calculated based on the vessel loading date.
Additionally, a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of USD 200 per container will be levied on dry cargo movements from North Europe to the Middle East, Red Sea, and Indian Subcontinent, effective 7 July 2026.
A second PSS of USD 200 per container will apply to dry cargo transported from the West and East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea, and North Africa to India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, also effective 1 July 2026.
Furthermore, a PSS of USD 500 per container will be imposed on all cargo shipped from the Indian Subcontinent to North Europe, the Mediterranean, and North Africa. This surcharge will take effect on 15 July 2026, calculated based on the gate-in date at the origin terminal.
CMA CGM stated that these surcharges are introduced to support the sustained delivery of reliable, high-quality, and operationally efficient services across its global network.
