CMA CGM will implement an Overweight Surcharge (OWS) for dry cargo shipments from the Far East to South Africa, effective 15 August 2026. The surcharge remains in force until further notice.

For shipments destined for South Africa, an OWS of USD 500 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) will apply to dry containers with gross cargo weight exceeding 18 metric tonnes.
