1. North Europe → Jeddah and Port Sudan
Effective 3 August 2026, the DGS applies to all IMDG-classified cargo originating from North Europe destined for Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Port Sudan (Sudan).
Surcharge rates:
• USD 5,100 per 20-foot equivalent unit (TEU)
• USD 5,200 per 40-foot or 45-foot equivalent unit (FEU/45’ container)
2. Mediterranean → Middle East and Red Sea
Effective 4 August 2026, a flat surcharge of USD 5,000 per container applies to IMDG-classified dry cargo shipped from the Mediterranean region to the following destinations:
Kuwait
Qatar
Bahrain (all ports)
Dammam (Saudi Arabia)
All ports within the Red Sea region
3. North Africa → Middle East
Effective 6 August 2026, a surcharge of USD 5,000 per container applies to IMDG-classified dry cargo originating in North Africa and destined for:
Kuwait
Qatar
Bahrain (all ports)
Dammam (Saudi Arabia)
4. United States → Jeddah, Port Sudan, and Massawa
Effective 1 September 2026, the DGS applies to all IMDG-classified cargo originating from any U.S. coastal region (Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific) and destined for:
Jeddah (Saudi Arabia)
Port Sudan (Sudan)
Massawa (Eritrea)
Surcharge rates:
• USD 5,000 per TEU, FEU, or 45’ container
5. United States → Aqaba
Effective 3 September 2026, a differentiated surcharge applies to IMDG-classified dry cargo from all U.S. coastal regions to Aqaba (Jordan):
• USD 225 per TEU
• USD 350 per FEU or 45’ container
CMA CGM reserves the right to review and adjust these surcharges in response to evolving regulatory requirements, safety protocols, or operational conditions. Customers will be notified promptly of any material changes.
