The PSS will become effective for all bookings with load ports in Türkiye on or after 12 September 2026, and shall remain in force until further notice.

Applicable PSS Rates:

• USD 400 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU)  

• USD 500 per forty-foot equivalent unit (FEU)  

The surcharge applies uniformly to all container types—including dry, reefer, and specialized units—destined for US East Coast and Gulf ports.

Other tariff components remain unaffected. Specifically, Hapag-Lloyd’s base ocean freight rates, as published in its Ocean Tariff, will remain unchanged pending further notice. Existing surcharges related to bunker adjustment (BAF) and security (SEC) will continue to apply. Terminal Handling Charges (THCs), levied at origin and destination, also remain in effect.

In addition, shipments may be subject to locally imposed fees or contingency-related charges, as determined by port authorities or regulatory bodies.

Please note that Hapag-Lloyd has not announced a scheduled expiration date for this PSS.
