This adjustment reflects ongoing volatility in international energy markets and sustained fluctuations in diesel fuel prices.
Surcharge rates are as follows:
• 16% for truck-only inland haulage (both export and import movements to/from Italy);
• 7.5% for combined rail-and-truck transportation;
• 0% for rail-only movements.
The revised surcharge applies uniformly across all container types.
Effective date differentiation applies based on regulatory jurisdiction:
• For non-FMC-regulated trades, the new rates take effect on 21 September 2026.
• For shipments subject to U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations, the surcharge becomes applicable on 9 October 2026.
– For imports, the applicable rate is determined by the container’s gate-out date from the port of discharge.
– For FMC-regulated exports, the applicable rate is determined by the gate-in-full date at the origin port.
– For non-FMC-regulated exports, the applicable rate is determined by the vessel’s scheduled departure date.
