CNC enhanced its JP8 service network
2026-03-20

CNC has enhanced its JP8 service to strengthen maritime connectivity among Japan, South China, and the Philippines—delivering improved schedule reliability, reduced transit times, and greater operational flexibility.

The upgraded service now features direct port-to-port links between Japan and the Philippines, connecting key Japanese ports—including Sendai, Omaezaki, and Moji—with Batangas and Manila. This represents one of the limited direct container shipping options currently available on this strategic trade corridor.

The revised JP8 rotation expands coverage across South China with new port calls at Shekou and Nansha, enabling shippers to better align with time-sensitive delivery requirements and optimize cargo flow management. Additionally, the inclusion of Shantou strengthens the service’s role as a transshipment gateway for South China–originating cargo, thereby improving access to global markets.

The service also reinforces bilateral connectivity between Japan and South China, with dedicated calls at Xiamen and Shantou—supporting both dry and refrigerated (reefer) cargo movements with consistent handling standards.

As a fully owned and operated service by CNC, JP8 guarantees dedicated vessel capacity and end-to-end operational control. This ensures superior schedule adherence, predictable transit performance, and seamless service execution across the entire network.

The revised JP8 port rotation is as follows:

Sendai → Tokyo → Omaezaki → Moji → Xiamen → Shantou → Shekou → Nansha → Subic Bay → Batangas → Manila South → Sendai

The enhanced service commenced operations with voyage AVIOS 0P816N1NC, which arrived in Manila on 11 March 2026.
