Effective 1 June 2026, a PSS of USD 500 per TEU will apply to all containerized exports from Asia to North Europe—including shipments originating from Japan, Southeast Asia, and Bangladesh, and destined for ports across the United Kingdom, Portugal, Finland, Estonia, and other North European jurisdictions. The surcharge applies uniformly to all cargo types and is binding under all contractual agreements with terms exceeding 30 days.
A separate PSS of USD 300 per TEU will be levied on exports from the Far East to Pointe des Galets, Réunion Island, also effective 1 June 2026.
For East Africa, a PSS of USD 350 per TEU will apply to containerized cargo originating in Central and North China and destined for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, effective 28 May 2026.
Additionally, CMA CGM has updated its refrigerated container (reefer) surcharges for imports into Port Gentil, Gabon:
• A PSS of USD 600 (or EUR 500, at prevailing exchange rate) per reefer container will apply to all origins, effective 22 May 2026;
• For shipments originating in the United States, U.S. territories, selected Latin American countries, and Australia, the same reefer PSS will take effect on 20 June 2026.
These adjustments reflect CMA CGM’s ongoing efforts to align cost recovery mechanisms with seasonal demand volatility, port congestion, and operational cost pressures across key regional corridors.
