According to industry reports, the carrier has revised the port rotations of its SH1, SH2, SH3, and IA7 services to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen end-to-end connectivity between Asia and Bangladesh.
Under the revised SH1 service, calls at Hong Kong, Qui Nhon, and Da Nang have been discontinued. The updated rotation is as follows: Ningbo → Shanghai → Xiamen → Port Kelang → Chittagong → Port Kelang → Tanjung Pelepas → Ningbo.
The reconfigured SH2 service now operates on the following sequence: Ningbo → Shanghai → Kaohsiung → Tanjung Pelepas → Chittagong → Singapore → Qui Nhon → Da Nang → Hong Kong → Keelung → Ningbo.
For SH3, Kaohsiung has been substituted with Nansha; additionally, northbound port calls at Mongla and Tanjung Pelepas have been removed. The new rotation is: Yokohama → Kobe → Qingdao → Shanghai → Nansha → Tanjung Pelepas → Port Kelang → Chittagong → Tanjung Pelepas → Ho Chi Minh City → Shenzhen (Yantian) → Yokohama.
With respect to the IA7 service, the port call at Shantou has been eliminated. The revised rotation is: Hong Kong → Shenzhen (Yantian) → Nansha → Tanjung Pelepas → Port Kelang → Chittagong → Tanjung Pelepas → Nansha → Hong Kong.
These adjustments collectively aim to optimize Maersk’s Far East–Bangladesh network by improving schedule reliability, reducing transit time variability, and reinforcing service continuity—while preserving comprehensive geographic coverage across key trade lanes.
