Emergency Alert! Major Adjustment to ONE's Maritime Fuel Surcharge

The revised surcharge will apply to both dry and reefer cargo, with different levels for long-haul headhaul and backhaul movements.

New EFS levels from September

For long-haul headhaul trades, ONE will apply an EFS of US$120 per TEU for dry containers and US$160 per TEU for reefers.

On long-haul backhaul trades, the surcharge will be US$60 per TEU for dry cargo and US$80 per TEU for reefers.

The same rates will apply across all short-sea trades.

The revised EFS will take effect on 16 September 2026 for non-FMC regulated trades.The same effective date applies to FMC-regulated trades covering the United States, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan and Hawaii, as well as Canada.

The changes remain subject to required regulatory approvals and notice periods where applicable. The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice.

ONE said it will continue to monitor market conditions and adjust the EFS if circumstances change.
